Mr. Thompson said, "Your daughter came to my house three days ago and said my son would die today at exactly this time. Now my son is dead." The people who accompanied him shouted. "Does it mean your daughter killed him?" Mr. Christian asked. "I wonder," Mrs. Christian added.
"Yes, your daughter killed him. She's a witch pretending to be blind," Mr. Thompson said, trying to rush into the house. "Ask your daughter to come and wake my son, or else I won't leave here," Mrs. Thompson said, sitting on the ground, shouting and crying.
"I didn't kill your son. I told you people, but you took it for granted. If you had listened to me, Trust wouldn't have died. Obedience is better than sacrifice," Angela said, emerging from the house.
"You blind witch, I'll deal with you," Mr. Thompson said. "I speak not of myself but of Him who guides me," Angela replied. "Exactly! That day, she saw Trust and tried to tell him, but he didn't listen to her. Instead, he started abusing her," John said, defending Angela.
"Mr. Thompson, I'm sorry for the death of your son. Please take heart," Mr. Christian said. "You! We shall see," Mr. Thompson said, pointing at Angela before they left.
That evening, Mr. Christian returned from work, and they were eating at the dining table when he remembered the events of the morning. "Angela, I hope you're happy with the embarrassment we faced this morning because of you," he asked.
"Father, I've done nothing wrong," Angela said, trying to defend herself. "You've done nothing wrong? Do you know what it means to tell someone their son will die, and he truly dies at the exact time you said? Do you know what it means?" her father asked, half-yelling.
"Trust died because they refused to do what they were told to do," Angela said. "Angela, do you know how people will see you now? You've ruined my reputation," Mr. Christian said.
Father, let people see me however they want. They're not the ones who own my life. And talking about your reputation, it's not ruined, so worry less," Angela said. Her dad breathed deeply and continued eating as her mother fed her.
The next morning, Angela woke up early, did her morning devotion, and headed out. She got to their gate, and the gateman refused to let her go. After begging him for some minutes, he opened the gate for her. She went to a house on the third street where a woman named Mummy D lived with her two children – one disabled and the other, a girl, a public prostitute.
Angela stood opposite their door, waiting patiently for Mummy D to come out. A few minutes later, Mummy D emerged with a small bag in her hand, obviously heading to the market. "Mummy D, good morning," Angela greeted.
Mummy D was shocked when she heard her name. She looked around to see if anyone had brought Angela, but when she didn't see anyone, she wondered how Angela had located her house in her blind state. "Don't worry, I came alone," Angela said to her surprise.
What are you doing here, and what do you want?" Mummy D asked, feeling scared. "Why did you kill Trust?" Angela asked seriously. Mummy D thought, "How did she know I killed Trust?"
"Because God knows you," Angela said, and fear gripped Mummy D. "Now answer my question – why did you kill Trust?" Angela asked again, increasing her voice. "I don't know what you're talking about," Mummy D said.
"Your days are numbered. If you don't stop killing innocent souls, you'll face shame and disgrace. Be warned!" Angela said and started walking away. "I don't know what you're talking about," Mummy D said.
"Be warned!!" Angela said and left. Mummy D ran inside her house as soon as Angela left, went to her room, opened her wardrobe, and brought out a small Calabash pot tied with a red piece of cloth and containing white chalks and other items. She made some incantations, and Mother Jezebel, her spiritual queen mother, appeared in her room.
Queen mother, I greet you," Mummy D said, bowing her head slightly. "Angela just left here, right?" Mother Jezebel asked. "Yes, queen mother," Mummy D replied.
"Don't worry, I'll handle her," Mother Jezebel said. "But queen mother, I'm scared she might tell people I killed Trust," Mummy D said in a scary voice. "She won't do such a thing," Mother Jezebel said.
“Okay, but how did she locate my house and how did she found out that I killed Trust?” Mummy D asked more curious.
Mother Jezebel laughed and then replied “She has some magical powers but believe me I am going to deal with her.” Mother Jezebel said.
“I thought you blinded her?” Mummy D asked.
“Yes I did but don’t worry her days are numbered alre-ady.” Mother Jezebel replied and disappeared.
Mummy D quickly kept the Calabash pot back in her wardrobe before leaving the house.
Meanwhile, Angela was on her way home when Mother Jezebel appeared to her.
“You this little rat how dare you threaten my servant?” Mother Jezebel said angrily.
“She doesn’t belong to you, she is the likeness of God so stay away from her before you face your Doom.” Angela said.
“Little brat do not cross your boundary.” She said.
“Stop using her to kill innocent people just to satisfy your selfish desire before my God will consume you with his fire.” Angela replied.
“Your God cannot challenge me.” Mother Jezebel said.
“My God does not challenge, He destroy the wicked ones out of the surface of this earth, go back to wherever you cam£ from for you do not belong here.” Angela said as she walked passed her.
“I will deal with you little rat.” Mother Jezebel yelled in anger and disappeared.
On the other hand, Mr Christian came out of his room holding his briefcase and was set for work, he walked to the dinning to have his breakfast.
“Honey, did you see our daughter?” Mrs Christian asked as soon as he settles down.
“I was about asking you that, are you not her mother?” Mr Christian asked.
I haven’t see her this morning, I went to her room but she is not there.” Mrs Christian said.
“So what are you saying that my daughter didn’t sleep this house or what?” Mr Christian asked with curiosity in his voice.
“Ah honey, she slept here”. Mrs Christian replied.
“Then where is she now?” Mr Christian asked.
“Saviour! Saviour!” Mrs Christian called and saviour ran to them after some seconds.
“Madam/Oga, good morning.” He greeted bowing his head.
“Saviour did you see Anna this morning?” Mrs Christian asked.
“Ah yes oh madam, she comot this early morning.” Saviour said.
“What? And you opened the gate for her?” Mrs Christian asked.
“Erm…..yes madam because she come dey beg me and me I no like wen she dey beg so I come open the gate for her and……”
“Shut up your mouth! I thought I told you not to open that gate for her to go out?” Mr Christian interrupted.
“Yes Oga but she beg me.” Saviour said.
“Will you shut your mouth!” Mrs Christian said, before saviour could say another word, Mr Christian him a slap on his cheecks.
“Now go out there and look for my daughter and make sure you don’t return here without her else I will cut off your head ru-bbish.” Mr Christian said in a commanding tone.
Saviour was about going out when Angela came in.
“No need I am here but father, you don’t have to slap him.” Angela said as she walked fully into the living room with the help of saviour.
“And where are you coming from?” Mr Christian asked but Angela didn’t say anything.
“I said where are you coming from and I thought I warned you not to leave this house again?” Mr Christian asked in a half yelled voice.
“I went to deliver a message.” Angela said.
“A message again??” Her both parents asked the same time and she nodded her head in responce.
