Once upon a time in a lush African forest, there lived a clever tortoise named Tobi and a greedy elephant named Elu. Tobi was known for his wit and cunning attitude
, while Elu was known for his insatiable appetite.
One sunny day, Elu was stomping through the forest, grumbling about how hungry he was. He came across Tobi, who was munching on some delicious-looking fruits.
"Hey, Tobi! Share those fruits with me," demanded Elu.
Tobi, always up for some fun, replied, "Sure, Elu. But first, you have to do something for me."
Elu, eager to get his hands on the fruits, agreed without hesitation. "Anything! Just give me those fruits!"
Tobi grinned and said, "Alright, Elu. I want you to stand on one leg and sing the loudest song you know."
Elu, thinking this was an easy task, lifted one of his massive legs and began to sing at the top of his lungs. His voice was so loud and off-key that it scared all the birds out of the trees and made the other animals cover their ears.
Tobi couldn't stop laughing at the sight of the giant elephant wobbling on one leg and singing terribly. But Elu was determined to get those fruits, so he kept singing.
After a while, Tobi said, "Okay, okay, that's enough! You can stop now."
Elu, panting and out of breath, put his leg down and eagerly reached out for the fruits. But Tobi had one more trick up his sleeve.
"Wait, Elu. There's one more thing you need to do," said Tobi.
Elu groaned but agreed. "What now?"
Tobi pointed to a nearby tree and said, "I want you to climb that tree and bring me the juiciest fruit from the top."
Elu looked at the tree and then at his own massive body. "But Tobi, elephants can't climb trees!"
Tobi chuckled and said, "Exactly! And that's why you should never be greedy and demand things that aren't yours."
Elu realized he had been outsmarted by the clever tortoise. He laughed at his own foolishness and apologized to Tobi. From that day on, Elu learned to be less greedy and more considerate of others.
And as for Tobi, he continued to be the cleverest and most mischievous tortoise in the forest, always ready with a new trick to keep everyone laughing.
Lesson//
Avoid a greedy life and also put people in your consideration. Don't think of yourself only,so that you would not learn a lesson in a hard way.
